The ongoing debate on nepotism in Bollywood once again gains momentum after actress Esha Gupta shared her honest views on it. In a recent interview, she admitted that a star kid has many advantages over outsiders and that at times she really wishes she was someone from the film industry. The Aashram 3 actress pointed out that when you're from the industry, ‘you could be nasty, you could have given a flop and it would be no big deal because you would still have another film in your kitty.
Speaking to ETimes TV, Esha opened up about nepotism and stated that someone who is not from the industry, has no shoulder to cry on and nobody to guide you the right way. The actress revealed that most people that she met, very few were ‘real and genuine’ because there are very few who would want to see your progress and guide you the same way. Esha went on to confess if she was born and brought up in the industry, her journey would have been quite easier. “At times, I really wish I was from the industry, I know I wouldn't have faced that. When you're from the industry, you could be nasty, you could have given a flop but it would be no big deal because you would still have another film. I remember when my first film flopped, I was really scared. I started beating myself for my choices. I felt it was the end of it and I won’t have work anymore. But then, after quite some time, I picked myself up. I was working, earning money, doing so much work and then you realise, that's life,” the Baadshsho actress further explained.
On the work front, Esha Gupta made her impressive Bollywood debut in 2012 with 'Jannat 2' opposite Emraan Hashmi. She starred in several movies like Humshakals, Raaz 3D, Rustom, and Baadshsho. She was recently seen in Prakash Jha’s web show Aashram 3, which stars Bobby Deol in the lead role. Esha and Bobby’s piping hot chemistry and intimate scenes grabbed many eyeballs. Reportedly, Gupta has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Priyadarshan’s comedy Hera Pheri 3.
