Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden and untimely demise sent shockwaves across the country, leaving many fans, friends and the family heartbroken. The actor was found dead on June 14, hanging, in his Mumbai residence and allegedly died by suicide. No note was found and the investigation is still in process. The mental health awareness fund was announced exactly a month after Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. Ekta Kapoor joined hands with Zee5 India CEO, Tarun Katial to launch the fund trying to spread awareness about mental health among the people in the country. As the logo of the fund was recently launched, it featured a picture of late Sushant Singh Rajput from the time when he played the role of Manav Deshmukh in the show Pavitra Rishta. The mental health awareness fund was also titled Pavitra Rishta fund.

With the logo out on social media, Rajput’s fans took to social media to troll Ekta Kapoor for using the late actor’s name for the mental health awareness initiative. On Twitter, one fan wrote, “How dare you Ekta Kapoor ? The proceeding is in process and people like you declared him mentally unstable! You and your whole gang should check your sanity !! @narendramodi @PMOIndia take back her Padma Shri !!!#SCAssignCBIForSSRCase #ShameOnEktaKapoor.” The fan asked Ekta Kapoor how she could use late Sushant Singh Rajput’s face for the initiative and mentioned that the proceeding is on. The fan then asked the producer and others to check their sanity as they declared the late actor mentally unstable.

Meanwhile, after the trolling intensified, Sushant Singh Rajput’s face was dropped from the poster and logo shared for the Pavitra Rishta fund.
