After a smashing hit of Ek Villain starring Siddharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor, the makers of the film are all set to bring a sequel which is tentatively titled, Do Villain. Reportedly, the film stars Disha Patani, John Abraham, Tara Sutaria and Arjun Kapoor who will be replacing Aditya Roy Kapur in the film. According to the latest reports in Mumbai Mirror, the film is all set to roll in January 2021 and is said to have a start-to-finish schedule for the film. The filmmaker will be off on a recce by month-end and then will begin shooting for Ek Villain sequel.

Talking about the same, Mohit Suri, the helmer of the film, was quoted saying to the tabloid, “Given that we are still in the midst of a pandemic, we are taking it one step at a time. If we start prep now, we should be ready to shoot by January. We have to plan short schedules with fewer crew. The time spent on set will be far lesser than the time spent behind the scenes. We will be using a lot more technology too. Luckily for me, I am used to making films in a limited time."

Speaking about the plot he said, “The difference between a hero and a villain is that you rarely learn about the latter’s love story. This time you will, so he's more of an anti-hero than a villain per se." The film is said to be an intense love story and the filmmaker asserted that it will have some raw actions, the fight scenes will be very real, with hand-to-hand combats and car chases. Confirming the news, Mohit says, “We want to take the action notch higher and John has been designing and choreographing these scenes with me and my team of assistants.”
