Last year in August, Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau after they conducted a raid at his house in Juhu, Mumbai. In the drugs-related case, the NCB questioned Armaan for a long time before arresting him. A small amount of drugs i.e. 1.2 grams of cocaine was reportedly found at his house. Now, in the latest development, Kohli's bail plea has reportedly been rejected by the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) court in the drug trafficking case last week.
Speaking to ETimes, an NCB source revealed why the actor’s bail got rejected. The source said that the agency has found strong evidence of financing and trafficking of drugs against Armaan. “One of the main reasons why Armaan has not been granted bail is that there is strong evidence of financing and trafficking of drugs. The officials have also found a foreign connection in drug supply with respect to his case,” the NCB source was quoted as saying. For the unversed, the NCB office conducted a raid at Armaan Kohli’s house after 25 grams of MD was recovered from drug peddler Ajay Raju Singh, who was then arrested. Reportedly, Ajay supplies drugs to many Bollywood and TV personalities, and during his interrogation, he revealed something related to Armaan Kohli following which his residence was raided. NCB Mumbai registered Crime No. 82/21 in this case. Armaan Kohli, who is a son of veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli, was arrested under sections 21(a), 27(a), 28, 29, 30, & 35 of the NDPS Act.
Last year, Armaan moved an application for bail saying that his parents are aged and there is no one to take care of them.
