Drishyam director Nishikant Kamat is no more. The Bollywood filmmaker who marked his debut with the regional film Dombivali fast passed away in a Hyderabad hospital. The filmmaker was admitted after he was diagnosed with jaundice and abdominal distention. Nishikant Kamat is popularly known for his films like Drishyam, Madaari, Mumbai Meri Jaan, among several others. The filmmaker who was best known for his direction also acted in some movies like 2016 film Rocky Handsome starring John Abraham, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, Fugay and Julie 2.

SpotboyE.com exclusively broke the news that filmmaker Nishikant Kamat that as per sources, his Liver Cirrhosis relapsed. The filmmaker suffered Liver Cirrhosis in the past and was admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad after being diagnosed with jaundice and abdominal distention. The hospital authorities recently released an official statement informing fans about Kamat’s ill-health. The statement released mentioned that Nishikant Kamat is diagnosed with Chronic Liver Disease and was kept under observation in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The statement released by the hospital read, “Mr Nishikant Kamat (50 years, Male) was brought to AIG Hospitals, Gachibowli, Hyderabad on 31st July with jaundice and abdominal distention. He has been diagnosed with Chronic Liver Disease and other secondary infections. He is in the intensive care unit for continuous monitoring under supervision of a multi- disciplinary team of senior consultants comprising of Gastroenterologists, Hepatologists, Critical Care and others. His condition is critical but stable. We wish him a speedy recovery.”


Nishikant Kamat was brought to AIG Hospitals, Gachibowli, Hyderabad on July 31, 2020. Kamat has worked with stars like Ajay Devgn, Tabu, John Abraham, late Irrfan Khan and others over the years.
