Champak Jain, brother of Ratan Jain who owns Venus, is no more. Champak Jain produced movies like Ek Kali (short film) in 2015 and Main Khiladi Tu Anari in 1994. The Saif-Akshay starrer was an action comedy directed by Sameer Malkan. It went on to become one of the Top 5 grossers of 1994. It was the second installment in the Khiladi franchise. Shilpa Shetty played the female lead. Shakti Kapoor, Kader Khan and Johny Lever were a laugh riot in this movie.

The death of Champak Jain took the industry by surprise this afternoon, primarily because there was no news of he being unwell or ailing.

On the other hand, Raju Mavani who passed away few hours back, was suffering from kidney failure. He was not just a producer but an actor and director as well. Raju Mavani helmed movies like Ram Aur Shyam (1996), Surakshaa (1995) and Intehaan (1994).

Raju Mavani directed Surakshaa, which starred Suniel Shetty, Aditya Pancholi, Saif Ali Khan, Sheeba, Divya Dutta, Monica Bedi, Kader Khan, Mukesh Rishi and Tinnu Anand.

Raju Mavani attributed becoming an actor to Ram Gopal Varma. His histrionics were seen in movies like Mast, Sarkar, Darwaazo Bandh Rakho among others. He was last seen in Salman Khan starrer Jai Ho. He was supposed to produce Baaghi with Salman in the lead but things didn’t work out due to his fallout with the writers and the movie later went on to be produced by Nitin Manmohan. Raju Mavani also starred in another Salman Khan film, Wanted.

Oct 31 has been a very sad day for Bollywood. SpotboyE.com offers sincere condolences to the Jain and Mavani families. We stand by them in their hour of crisis.
