Karan Johar reveals the second male lead to join
Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan in his
upcoming romantic comedy Dostana 2! Earlier, Janhvi Kapoor was announced as the female lead and Kartik Aaryan as one of the male leads. Fans were eagerly waiting to find out who the second lead in the film will be. Now, Karan Johar and Dharma Productions took to Twitter to introduce the new kid on the Dharma block and it is a newcomer named Lakshya.
Just a little while ago, filmmaker Karan Johar took to Twitter to announce the news. He tweeted, "Both happy and excited to introduce the new kid on the Dharma block! LAKSHYA will be making his debut with us in #DOSTANA2 and from thereon, we hope to start a solid cinematic journey together! Please welcome #Lakshya and shower him with all your love and blessings..." Dharma Productions official Twitter page also posted, "This family just got bigger! Welcoming #Lakshya (https://instagram.com/itslakshya/), the newest member of the #Dharma family & the #Dostana2 cast. Buckle up, it's going to be a beautiful journey ahead!" From the looks of it, Lakshya's Instagram page is newly created and only has one post which reads, "Overwhelmed, grateful & down right EXCITED for this wonderful new beginning! Thank you for this welcome into the #Dharma family, can't wait to get started on #Dostana2! @Dharmamovies." Take a look:
Karan Johar says, “We believe in introducing new talent to the film fraternity. We are proud to have introduced over 20 first-time filmmakers and seven actors in the recent past. We are excited to introduce Lakshya, the newest addition to the family. We will be introducing him in Dostana 2. He was chosen after a series of meticulous auditions and test shoots. We are thrilled to engulf him in our creative world and look forward to creating celluloid magic together.”
While Lakshya's Instagram profile does not reveal much about his background in acting, a comment on Karan Johar's tweet reveals him to be Lakshya Lalwani who played the role of Porus in the TV serial Porus on Sony TV. The show was known to be the most expensive show on Indian Television.
