Taapsee Pannu has often backed films that are socially relevant and here she is, to depict a strong topic about violence against women in society through her upcoming release, Thappad.
As the title suggests, the story is about Amrita played by Taapsee who files a divorce against her husband after he slaps her in front of a group at a party.
The film depicts how a woman takes a strong stand for herself against violence. So as the movie is just 2 days away from its big screen release, do you think it will be an eye-opener for women of the Indian society?
