Though he always wanted to be a filmmaker, Anurag convinced Imtiaz to play Yakub Memon's part in his film Black Friday, which documented the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts.
And Imtiaz, known for his romantic films like Jab We Met and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, portrayed the part with great intensity.
