Bollywood actress Divya Bharti was among the most talented actress of her time. The actress, who appeared in just over 10 films, was one of the highest-paid Indian actresses in late 90s. Divya died on 5 April 1993 when she was at the peak of her career. Her sudden and untimely death left the entire film industry numb and shocked. For the unversed, Bharti passed away after she fell from the balcony of the fifth floor of her apartment in Mumbai. The circumstances leading to her death is still a topic of discussion and mystery.

Today, on the occasion of Divya Bharti’s 30 death anniversary, we bring to you final hours before her death. As per the latest report in DNA, hours before her demise she had returned home from a shoot and was supposed to meet fashion designer Neeta Lulla for her upcoming film Andolan. The day Divya died, Neeta Lulla along with her husband Shyama visited the late actress’ home and they all indulged in some drinking. The report added that this is when Divya went and sat on the ledge of the balcony. Reportedly, all of sudden she lost her balance and fell to the floor. She was badly injured and later succumbed to her injuries. There are no specific details about how the actress fell from the balcony. Her father had dismissed the reports alleging Divya committed a suicide or that she was depressed. 

Divya, who was married to filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala, is best known for her stint in movies like ‘Shola Aur Shabnam’, ‘Deewana’, Telugu film ‘Bobbili Raja’, ‘Rowdy Alludu’ and drama ‘Assembly Rowdy’ and others.
