Though Zoya Akhtar helmed Gully Boy won big at the recently held Filmfare Awards 2020 in Guwahati, Assam, it has certainly left many disappointed. One such example is of a Wikipedia user, who called it a ‘Paid Award’ and edited the same on the site. The movie had 19 nominations at this prestigious award and ended up winning 13 awards. We wonder if Zoya has taken a note of it and if yes, will she or the lead pair Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt who took home the black lady, bother to answer?

The film has won in the categories which includes- Best film, Best director (Zoya Akhtar), Best Actor in a supporting role male (Siddhanth Chaturvedi), Best Actor in a supporting role female (Amruta Subhash), Best Album, Best lyrics (Divine and Ankur Tewari), Best dialogues (Vijay Maurya) and Best screenplay (Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar). As soon as people took a note of it, netizens slammed the organizers and called it an unfair decision. Netizens on Twitter platform slamming the organizers called out to them for losing their creditability and also neglecting other films like Kesari.
