After years of waiting, Om Raut’s ambitious project Adipurush has finally been released and has become a laughing stock on the internet. The movie which was made on a huge budget of Rs 500 crores, is on the receiving end of backlash from the netizens. From the CGI and VFX used in the film to over dramatised scenes and filmy dialogues, the movie has become a meme material on social media.
Now, a video of fans breaking windows of a movie theatre in Telangana is going viral on Twitter. In the video, many angry Prabhas fans were captured throwing utensils at the windows in Jyoti Theatre, situated in Patancheru city, Telangana to break the glass. According to the caption of the video, they took the extreme step to vandalise the theatre because the sound system of the theatre wasn’t good. Many were even heard cheering for the men who were sabotaging the property. This is not the first thing that has come to light after the movie was released. Recently a few Prabhas fans assaulted a movie goer for criticising the movie. He was trashed outside a Hyderabad theatre for expressing his disappointment over the magnum opus. He can be heard saying, “They have kept all monsters from playstation games in this movie. An adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana, Adipurush is directed by Om Raut. The movie stars Prabhas as Ayodhya Prince Raghava, Saif Ali Khan as demon king Lankesh, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, Sunny Singh as Laxmana and Devdatta Nage as Hanuman among many others in the lead roles. It is produced by T- Series, Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, Pramod and Vamsi of UV Creations. The magnum opus released on 16th June 2023 on the big screens in many regional languages.
