Legendary actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai this morning after complaining of breathing issues. ANI reported his wife Saira Banu saying that he had been facing breathing issues since the past few days. His fans were concerned, and they soon flooded social media with messages for Dilip Kumar, praying for his speedy recovery. According to ETimes, Dilip Kumar has been admitted under the care of cardiologist Dr. Nitin Gokhale and pulmonologist Dr. Jalil Parkar.

Now sharing an update about Dilip Kumar’s health, ETimes quoted Dr. Parkar saying that the veteran actor is on oxygen support, and has been diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion. “Mr. Dilip Kumar has been put on oxygen support. He has been diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion along with a drop in oxygen saturation", he said. The doctor assured that Dilip Kumar’s condition is stable, and that he may be discharged in the next 2-3 days if all goes well.

“But he is stable and not in the ICU. If all goes well, he may be discharged in 2-3 days,” said Dr. Parkar. Meanwhile, Saira Banu rubbished death rumours and urged people not to believe in WhatsApp forwards. "Don’t believe in WhatsApp forwards. Saab is stable.  Thank you for your heart-felt duas and prayers. As per doctors, he should be home in 2-3 days. Insh’Allah," read the tweet.




The legendary actor was hospitalised last month as well and was discharged after a couple of days. This morning, Saira Banu shared a statement on Twitter, and it read, “Dilip Sahab has been admitted to non-Covid PD Hinduja Hospital Khar for routine tests and investigations. He’s had episodes of breathlessness. A team of healthcare workers led by Dr. Nitin Gokhale is attending to him.
