Veteran superstar Dilip Kumar is home after a week-long stay at Lilavati hospital in Bandra.
The thespian was hospitalised last Tuesday night after complaining of swelling and pain in his legs. His wife Saira Banu, who is known to not take any chances, immediately rushed him to the doctor.

Talking to a leading daily, Saira Banu had explained the reason for Dilip’s hospitalisation, saying: “I was anyway planning to take him for a routine check-up, but the swelling alarmed me. He was also complaining of cold and cough. I don’t ignore anything even remotely suspicious when it comes to Dilip saab’s health. The doctors are examining him; he’s under observation. He’s very comfortable with the team here. I just hope there is nothing serious.”

Dilip Kumar, who turned 94 this Sunday, spent the day in his hospital bed.
Often, the star throws a small party at his house for close family and friends. Usually, it ends up becoming a big event with the whole film fraternity dropping by to wish him- from Amitabh Bachchan to Dharmendra to Jeetendra, everyone makes it a point to be there.
But this year, it turned out that he was under observation and treated by a team of doctors. Saira Banu was constantly by his side throughout the week.
Dilip Kumar has been hospitalised often in the recent past following major and minor problems.
