The legendary Dilip Kumar, formerly known as Yusuf Khan, celebrates his 98th birthday today, that is, on December 11, 2020. Dilip Kumar, however, has no plans of celebration as both him and his wife Saira Banu are yet to come to terms with the death of the former's brothers, Ahsan bhai and Aslam bhai, who succumbed to COVID-19 earlier this year. On his special day, a string of Bollywood stars, who also happen to be a fan of the superstar, have poured in their heartwarming wishes. The list includes Kamal Haasan, Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Madhuri Dixit and Urmila Matondkar among others.

South superstar Kamal Haasan shared a throwback picture of him with veteran star and wrote, "To my dearest Yusuf Khan Saheb /  Shri. DIlip Kumar Ji @TheDilipKumar. My salute to one of the greatest living Indian artistes in Cinema. Happy birthday sir and I place my gratitude for setting a benchmark half a century ago, for today's artistes to follow." Ajay Devgn, too, treated fans to an unseen picture of him with the birthday boy and wrote, "Happy birthday Yusuf Saab. You’re an institution by yourself. And, you’ve always been my steady source of inspiration over the years. Respects to you Sir today and always."

Riteish Deshmukh posted old pictures of Dilip with him and his father with a caption that read, "The KING & I ..... Happy Birthday Dear @TheDilipKumar Sahab !!! May god grace you with good health and long life. #HappyBirthdayDilipKumar Every generation loves you!!!"
