Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri is currently basking in the success of his latest released film 'The Kashmir Files', which has earned Rs. 141.25 crores in its second week. The movie, which traced the true story of Kashmiri Pandits who were forced to migrate from their own land by the Islamic militants in 1990, has been garnering love and appreciation for its hard-hitting content from everyone. But much before grabbing eyeballs for The Kashmir Files, Vivek made headlines because of alleged harassment claims made against him by Tanushree Dutta.
Recalling the incident, Tanushree said, “I was wearing a towel on my costume and standing behind the camera. This guy (Vivek Agnihotri) wanted me to give cues to an actor (Irrfan). It was an actor's close-up. It was not even my shot. I was not even going to be in the shot. It was the actor's close-up and he had to just look at something and give expressions. This director told me, 'Jao jaake kapde utaar ke nacho, usko cues do.”
She added it was Irrfan Khan who came to her rescue. "It was his close-up shot. I'm not in the frame. He had to look at me and give some expressions. Why do I have to dance in front of him for him to give expressions in his close-up shot? This director tells me 'jao jaake kapde utaar ke naacho'. I was shocked,” Tanushree was quoted saying.
However, Vivek Agnihotri had denied Tanushree’s allegations against him by releasing a statement on social media. He called all her claims ‘false frivolous’.
