Sridevi was the ‘First Female Superstar’ of Indian cinema and her acting debut at the mere age of four with a mythological film, Thunaivan and later starred opposite many superstars of Indian cinema. While the actress is credited with more than 300 films and she was one of the most successful heroine of her era and was even paid higher than her male counterparts.
The superstar of Indian cinema once talked about the same and she was once asked about how she was able to portray different women in her films after living a cloistered life in the studios. Sridevi replied that she was once doing a film in which the hero was constantly hitting on her.
Moreover, she kept rejecting his advances, and she was furious.
Sridevi finally took a break from her acting career with a hiatus of 15 years. She returned to acting with the film English Vinglish in 2012. With a successful comeback, Sridevi was soaring high both professionally and personally. But the news of her sudden demise from drowning in February 2018 shook the nation.
