On Tuesday, the makers of OMG 2 released the much-awaited teaser of Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer. A sequel to the hit 2012 movie, OMG 2 tells the story of Kanti Sharan Mudgal (played by Tripathi), an ardent believer, who navigates through the tribulations of life. While Akki essayed the role of Lord Krishna in the first movie, he will be seen playing the role of Lord Shiva in the second one. What left the fans even more excited was that the makers included a glimpse of Paresh Rawal’s Kanji Lalji Mehta, an atheist, from the first movie while addressing the fact that the almighty never “discriminates between the people that he created.”
Well, if you are wondering why Rawal is not a part of the second instalment, despite the chemistry he shared with Akshay on the screen being the highlight of OMG it is because the veteran refused to reprise his role. Yes, you read that right. According to an earlier interview, when the makers of the movie had approached him he refused to be a part of the sequel because he didn’t like the story. He thought making another movie, just because the first part was a hit, is a frivolous idea. The 68-year-old actor said, “Aap sequel banate hai toh Munna Bhai MMBS jaisi banao, ki ek leap late ho, quantum, Lage Raho Munna Bhai jaisi.” ALSO READ: OMG 2 Pre-Teaser: Akshay Kumar Arrives As A Sadhu Amidst Har Har Mahadev Chants, Announces Teaser Release Date
