Abbas Burmawalla’s son Mustafa’s Bollywood debut, Machine, has veered off track and how!

We had told you earlier that on Monday, PVR Juhu was forced to cancel the afternoon show because the film managed to attract just a single viewer.

Now we can tell you that another multiplex had refused to grant shows to Machine. SpotboyE.com can tell you that Abbas-Mustan tried very hard to get a few more screenings for the film. It was a tough task because the film did not have any buzz.

During negotiations with INOX, Abbas-Mustan wanted the film which sees Mustafa paired opposite Kiara Advani, to have two shows. The multiplex chain in question did not want to give more than a single show to the film.

A source told us that Abbas-Mustan kept pressing their demand and after that INOX’s team members simply told them that they have come to the decision that they do not want to screen the film at all.

Guess they knew that the film’s fate looks bleak, and hence did not want to burn their fingers.

Machine revolves around lovebirds Sarah and Ransh, who love fast cars. Soon after their wedding, Sarah is pushed over a cliff and Ransh vows to seek revenge.

Machine released on March 17 with Rajkummar Rao starrer Trapped and Govinda’s comeback vehicle Aa Gaya Hero.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt starrer Badrinath Ki Dulhanis has proven to be a crowd-pleaser and theatre owners are cashing in on its appeal with several shows.

All said and done, INOX’s decision proved to be a wise one. The film was a total non-starter, a non-functional Machine!
