"I remember watching Circus, and there was this particular scene with a captivating camera angle where an actor was delivering a monologue. I was enthralled by his performance. Although I didn't know who he was at the time, I was determined that once I finished school, I would approach him to make a film," Hirani mentioned in an interview with News 18. "However, it took me two years to graduate from the film institute, and by then, Shah Rukh Khan had become a massive star (laughs). So, I had to wait for 20 years before finally getting the chance to collaborate with him on a film," he added.
