It is a challenging time for all of us as the country has been hit by the second wave of Coronavirus. Amid the surging number of COVID-19 cases, medical resources have been stretched, and social media has been filled with pleas for hospital beds, COVID drugs. Amid the pandemic, a few celebrities have come forward to help in whatever way they can. Bhumi Pednekar, who recently recovered from COVID-19, kickstarted an online community of COVID warriors, and posted on social media that she will be creating a highlight about resources related to COVID-19 treatment.

Recently, she also took to her social media to inform fans about her initiative to help those who are unable to meet medical needs due to lack of funds. She asked those in financial need to fill the form, and after its verification, they would help set up a crowdfunding platform to raise money. Nikhil Taneja lauded Bhumi for her efforts during the crisis. “@bhumipednekar is doing better work than most elected officials at this point,” read the tweet.

Bhumi Pednekar has also been sharing videos on Instagram to spread awareness, and in a recent one, she urged people to stay at home. She wrote, “Stay Home Asli desh prem dikhane ka time ye hai.” She also opened up about her own experience with COVID-19, and said that while her symptoms were mild, they affected her health greatly. “If we as a community work together only then we can fight the virus so please please stay at home,” said Bhumi.
