Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has been quite vocal about her thoughts and opinion on the ongoing farmer’s protest in the country. She is constantly tweeting on the issue and has extended her support to the Centre. In the meantime, the actress is shooting for her upcoming film Dhaakad in Sarni area of Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district. On Thursday, it was reported that Congress leaders in Betul district have threatened that they will not allow Kangana to shoot for Dhaakad, until she apologises to the farmers over her tweets.
According to the latest report by PTI, Kangana Ranaut has been provided with security by MP police. Speaking with the news agency, Sarni Superintendent of Police Abhay Ram Choudhary said, "Security has been tightened for the actress after MP Home Minister Narottam Mishra directed Betul Superintendent of Police Simala Prasad to do so." The official said on Friday that they have put in place thick security cover around the actress.
The official also revealed that Police personnel equipped with batons and firearms have been deployed at the location of the shoot. He mentioned the police personnel are deployed around the coal handling plant (CHL) near a power project. He also said, “Police will man Gate No 2 and 4 of the CHL, from where actors usually enter the shooting venue," and mentioned that an inspector has been assigned to oversee Kangana Ranaut’s safety at the resort. The official added, "We will ensure that she does not face any disturbance during the shoot.”
Meanwhile, according to the report, the official said that the film schedule at Sarni will be wrapped up on February 17. Kangana Ranaut has landed in hot waters once again due to tweets. The Congress leaders had accused Ranaut of maligning the farmers. Twitter had also deleted some of the controversial tweets made by the actress.
