Priyanka Chopra is in the middle of the controversy, and it refuses to die down. She has been at the receiving end of backlash ever since the latest episode of Quantico, The Blood Of Romeo, aired on June 1.
Despite her apology angry protesters burnt posters of the show outside the Parliament Street police station in Delhi yesterday.
Well, the controversy seems to be far from over.
Not only did Pee Cee apologise, even the channel ABC issued a statement defending Priyanka. It read, "The episode has stirred a lot of emotion, much of which is unfairly aimed at Priyanka Chopra, who didn't create the show, nor does she write or direct it."
For those who've come in late, the outrage against Priyanka started after her recent episode of Quantico showed her character, Alex Parrish (who is an anti-terrorist cell's officer in FBI), plotting a nuclear attack on Manhattan just to frame Pakistan, that too days before an Indo-Pak summit was to be held.
Indians all over the world took offence at the scene and took to social media to blast the actress.
The next episode of Quantico, The Heavens Fall, airs on June 15.
