There has been a lot of unrest and violent clashes over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) over the last few months. Once again, matters have escalated in Delhi after violent clashes reportedly broke out between pro and anti-CAA groups in northeast Delhi on Monday. Pictures from the violent clashes show people pelting stones at each other, and mob of angry protestors set ablaze shops, houses, and vehicles.  Times Of India reports that the violent clash has left 160 people injured and took the toll of the lives of 7 people, so far, including a police constable.

Amid all this, Sonam Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap, Richa Chadha, Swara Bhasker, Ranvir Shorey, Hansal Mehta, and many others have raised their voice against the violence and questioned authorities. Swara Bhasker has been retweeting pictures and videos and one of her tweets read, “Go ahead and throw stones!!!!”  Slow claps for @DelhiPolice One of your own is dead because of your dereliction of duty! #DelhiPolice #DelhiBurning.” Music composer Vishal Dadlani found it unbelievable that this happened while the US President is on Indian soil.

Sonam Kapoor retweeted a picture of a man being brutally beaten up, in Delhi. Anurag Kashyap also condemned the violence and raised questions to the authorities. His Tweet read, “Shame on you @ArvindKejriwal.” Check out more tweets here:
