The Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) is scheduled to
be held on November
28 in Hyderabad.
Besides India’s
PM Narendra Modi, US President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump
and a few more dignitaries, Deepika Padukone was also one of the speakers at
the event.
However, Deepika Padukone has now withdrawn her name from
the summit. "Earlier Deepika Padukone was expected to be in that session
but now she has declined," said Jayesh Ranjan, Secretary, Information
Technology, Government of Telangana confirming the news.
The reason behind Deepika’s exit is unknown but reports
are floating that it's primarily due to the Padmavati controversy.
Deepika Padukone, along with Team Padmavati, is obviously upset with the
protests happening across the country threatening ban on the film. Some
political leaders have even given life threats to Deepika and Bhansali. Few
have even announced rewards for beheading the actress and chopping off her
nose.
Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh In Padmavati
Despite Sanjay Leela Bhansali confirming it more than
once that the film has nothing that would hurt religious sentiments,
Padmavati's release has been postponed. The film starring Ranveer Singh,
Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, was initially scheduled to release on December 1. SpotboyE.com
brought to you exclusively that the film might release on February
14, 2018, now.
So, has Deepika Padukone withdrawn her name from
the summit to refrain from any public appearance at the moment?
