The Film industry is currently under the scanner of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for actors and their involvement in drugs. After actor Rhea Chakraborty’s arrest in connection to the drug angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, the agency is probing the alleged drug nexus of Bollywood as well. Recently, the NCB issued summons to actor Deepika Padukone after her WhatsApp chats discussing ‘maal’ ‘hash’ with manager Karishma Prakash surfaced. Now, in the latest development, according to a report, an NCB source reveals details about the alleged WhatsApp drugs group.
Times Now reported that according to an NCB source, Deepika Padukone was the admin of the WhatsApp drugs group. As per an India Today report, while the Chhapaak actress was the admin of the so-called drugs group, SSR’s talent manager Jaya Saha, and Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash were also a part of this particular WhatsApp group.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone will be appearing before the NCB on Saturday, September 26. The actress who arrived from Goa earlier last night with her husband, Ranveer Singh will be joining the investigation tomorrow. Reportedly, the actress arrived in Mumbai by a charter plane from Goa. She was shooting in Goa for Shakun Batra’s next when the NCB issued a summon to her.
