According to a report in Pinkvilla.com, a source in the know informed that Deepika Padukone also tested positive. However, when it was reported, till then, the actress had not made an official announcement on the matter.
The Padukone family friend and director at the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy (PPBA), Vimal Kumar revealed that Prakash Padukone, his wife and younger daughter Anisha developed symptoms around 10 days back. He shared that they immediately got themselves tested for the virus and were positive. Later, the Padukone family went into isolation. However, Kumar revealed that when Badminton star Prakash Padukone’s fever did not go down, he was admitted to a Bengaluru hospital. Vimal Kumar shared that senior Padukone is okay now and will hopefully be discharged in two to three days. He said, “He is okay now. All his parameters are fine, his wife and daughter are at home and he too will be hopefully discharged in 2-3 days.”
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone had taken to her Instagram stories to spread awareness about mental health issues amidst the COVID-19 crisis. The actress posted helpline numbers for the ones battling with mental health issues. She did her bit by trying to help the needy in the tough times.
