Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash is being probed by the Narcotics Control Bureau in a drug-related case in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput's death. As per reports, Karishma’s name came up after an alleged conversation about drugs that happened in a group that Rhea Chakraborty’s talent manager Jaya Saha was also a part of, had surfaced. She was employed at KWAN talent agency, and now, Bombay Times has reported that Karishma Prakash has resigned from KWAN.
According to a report in Bombay Times, Karishma Prakash resigned from her position from KWAN on October 21. A source close to the agency told Bombay Times that Karishma had tendered her resignation on October 21. “Karishma is no longer working with the agency. She had tendered her resignation on October 21 with immediate effect. Her association with Deepika and few other actors was only as a KWAN employee. So naturally those associations would also be severed,” said the source.
Meanwhile, IANS reported that Karishma Prakash has been ‘untraceable’ after she was summoned by the NCB for questioning. On Monday, an NCB official told IANS, “It is true that Prakash has gone untraceable after being summoned for questioning.” She was asked to appear for questioning on October 27.
Now, Bombay Times has reported that the NCB issued fresh summons to Karishma Prakash in the drugs probe, and since she has been untraceable, the summons were handed over to her mother by the officials. Reports state that a small quantity of drugs were recovered from Karishma’s house last week.
