Deepika Padukone was one of the Bollywood celebs who was also tested positive in the second wave of COVID-19. She along with her parents and her sister was gripped by the virus. In her recent interaction with Film Companion, the actress spoke about how the Novel Coronavirus made her look physically unrecognizable. The Happy New Year actress also shared how the pandemic fundamentally changed her. While the first wave, she enjoyed the most as she remained home quarantined with her husband Ranveer Singh, the second wave was harsh.
She was tested positive after travelling to her home town Bengaluru during the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic. She told the portal, “I think lockdown one was very, very different. It was all of us trying to figure what had come upon us. And trying to understand how to navigate our lives around this new wave. Lockdown two was also very different because everyone in my family, including me had COVID at the same time.”
Speaking about how pandemic changed her and medication she was put on, the actress shared, “Life after COVID changed for me because physically, I was unrecognizable completely... I think (due to) the medication I was given, the steroids that I was put on. So COVID in itself was weird, your body feels different, your mind feels different. I felt that when I had the illness it was still okay but after that, I needed to take two months off work because my mind wasn't working. The phase for me was very, very difficult.”
On the work front, the actress will be seen in Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan to be streamed on Amazon Prime Video on February 11, 2022. ALSO READ: Ranveer Singh Has A ROFL Birthday Post For Wifey Deepika Padukone, Trolls Her For Promoting 'Gehraiyaan' On Her B’Day
