At the initial stages of her career, Deepika Padukone had to suffer depression but the actress is fine now and leading a normal life. She even started with her own foundation in 2015 called, ‘The Live Love Laugh Foundation’ that deals with mental health issues. In 2016, the organization launched a program called ‘You Are Not Alone.’ This time, she came across a comedian Danish Sait talking about battling depression and anxiety for the last three years. Danish shared a series of tweets on his handle, talking about the same and his tweets arrived right after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who died of suicide at his Mumbai residence on Sunday. Seeing him speaking about it publically, Deepika gave a big shout out to the comedian on her Twitter handle.
One of the tweets of Danish wrote, “My 3rd year through therapy and anti depressants, I don’t sleep at night without taking my cipralex tablet. Depression doesn’t look like anything, it makes you feel like nothing from within. Hard to describe, harder to understand. Doctors / professionals have been my only hope.” Quoting his tweet, Deepika tweeted, “It is extremely heartening to see soo many of you coming out and sharing your experience with mental illness.”
She again quoted her own tweet and wrote, “However, I would recommend not naming the medication you are on and/or the specifics of the dosage. Simply because: -it is not a one rule fits all. - the information could potentially be misused.”

Talking more about depression and Sushant’s death, he wrote in another tweet, “The truth of life is we are on our own journey, it gets lonely, it gets bright, it gets gloomy, and sometimes it’s a fight. I pray for Sushanth’s departed soul, must’ve gone through a lot. Give life a chance, we can’t fix it all ourselves, we’re human, seek help from professionals.” ALSO READ: Sushant Singh Rajput's Servant Reveals About The Presence Of His Friend In His House Before Suicide - Reports
