Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were all decked-up for a special occasion. The couple did step-out of their home, but not to celebrate their first Valentine’s Day post marriage, instead to be a part of actress’ dad, Prakash Padukone’s special day.
Last evening, Prakash Padukone was honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award at Sportstar Aces show that recognizes legends in the world of sports.
A video from the event has been doing the rounds on social media, which sees Deepika Padukone getting emotional as the Badminton legend is felicitated with the prestigious award. Watch the video below:
Ranveer Singh, Prakash Padukone, Ujjala Padukone and Deepika Padukone came together to encourage Padukone Sr. They all posed for cameras on stage. In his acceptance speech Prakash Padukone said, "I am extremely delighted that I have been able to play a small part in the evolution of badminton in India. Now, the Chinese and Indonesians check whether they are playing an Indian in the draw. I am happy Indian badminton is doing well.”
Deepika Padukone is always there to encourage and support her family. Just a day back, she went to watch hubby Ranveer's Gully Boy and couldn't control her excitement. After the screening, she was seen showering Ranveer with a lot of love. But the Gully Boy actor, too, is not far behind when it comes to expressing love for his wife.

Deepika had shared a few pictures of her look of the day on Instagram, yesterday and Ranveer made sure he commented on each one of them. While he wrote “Tasty fingers” on one of the pictures, he responded with a“Purrrrrrrrrrrr”on another. But his comment on the third picture was enough to say a lot about his current state of mind as he wrote, “Maar hi dogi Tum".
