Deepika Padukone stepped into the world of glamour when she made her Bollywood debut with Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om opposite Shah Rukh Khan. On November 9, Om Shanti Om completed 13 years of its glorious 13 years and to celebrate the same, Deepika Padukone had changed her name to Shantipriya, on Twitter and Instagram. But did you know Om Shanti Om has got its first international remake? Yes, that’s right! Om Shanti Om also featured an ensemble cast of Arjun Rampal, Shreyas Talpade, Kirron Kher, and others in key roles.
As per the latest online reports, Om Shanti Om is the first film to get its international remake. The film was remade into a Japanese musical video Oumu Shanti Oumu. The stage version of the film premiered in Osaka in 2017. Isn’t that exciting? Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan’s love saga in Om Shanti Om was one of the most loved films in Bollywood.
After OSO, SRK and Deepika went on to feature in two more films- Chennai Express and Happy New Year. On the work front, SRK is rumoured to be a part of War director Siddharth Anand’s Pathan, while Deepika Padukone is back to the Bay after completing Goa schedule of Shakun Batra’s untitled next.
