Daniel has signed up for a TV adaptation of Jonathan Franzen's novel Purity, a series of 20 episodes each.
During the press tour for the 24th Bond film Spectre, Craig was blunt about his desire to leave the 007 franchise, suggesting that he’d rather slit his wrists than play Bond again.
What makes this news more concrete now is Craig’s close friend Mark Strong's recent statement to a section of the media. When asked if he would he like to be be a part of the Bond series, Strong shot back: "I’d have loved to have played the villain in a Bond movie while Daniel was doing it because he’s a pal and that would have been great. But I think he’s come to the end of his Bond time and so it’s probably never going to happen."
And wait till you hear this! When the reigning agent 007 was asked whom he would like to see as the next James Bond, he replied rather obnoxiously: " Look, I don’t give a f***, Good luck to them."
