The figure of Rs 75 crore is very high in today's times. The current scenario is a far cry from the boom time when networks had bidding wars to bag big films. Experts estimate that rates for acquiring satellite rights of Hindi films have gone down by nearly 40-45% in the past 2 years. Call it a correction but each channel knows what it wants, and some even see the film in totality before opening up their coffers.
Aamir and Disney UTV are jointly producing Dangal, but Aamir is the dominant partner with 70 per cent share.
A source from Disney UTV tells SpotboyE.com, "He minimum guarantee in this deal is Rs 55 crore, while the rest Rs 20 crore will be given if and when the film crosses Rs 100 crore mark."

A source from Zee says, "We have immense faith in Aamir's films and Dangal is no exception. We are very happy to associate ourselves with Dangal. Going by the trailer, the film is looking very good and there is no reason why it should not be a superhit."
Aamir who has been puffing away in nervousness of Dangal's fate has enough reason to smile again (Stop smoking, Aamir. It's not good for your health).
Dangal, based on wrestler Mahavir Phogat's (Aamir) life and his daughters' (Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra) journey to success, hits theatres on December 23. Sakshi Tanwar plays Aamir's wife.
