Since today morning, Mumbaikars have been dealing with the destruction brought by Cyclone Nisarga. As the strong winds blew with heavy rains, many trees got uprooted causing destruction in many areas. Filmmaker Hansal Mehta recently took to his Twitter account to reveal the nightmare that he is living due to the cyclone. He tweeted that there is a power cut in their area and that all the roads are blocked. He also mentioned that the situation may be the same for the next two days.
Hansal Mehta's tweet read, "The cyclone has created some destruction where we live. Trees have fallen, roads are blocked and there has been no electricity since morning. MSEB is poorly equipped to handle such situations. Their linesman informs me that this situation might continue for 2 more days." He also shared a picture of a road covered with fallen trees.
In the next tweet, he mentioned that his area is in complete darkness and inverters may stop working in a few hours. "We are in complete darkness and our roads are blocked. Water, inverter batteries might last a few more hours," he wrote.
Hansal Mehta has helmed quite a few critically acclaimed films like Omerta, Aligarh, Shahid and many others. Recently, the filmmaker celebrated the two year anniversary of his film Omerta that had Rajkummar Rao in the lead. On the occasion, he was quoted by Bombay Times, "It will remain special to me because we collaborated on creating an aspect of human nature which we don’t normally explore even as a human characteristic.
