As already known, an FIR was lodged against the Baby Doll singer and she was charged under section 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) and Section 270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) of the IPC.

It was being reported how the Lucknow police officials will get in touch with her as soon as she is done with quarantining post her recovery. Well, that is exactly what has happened. As per a report in IANS, Krishna Nagar’s Deepak Kumar Singh, ACP, revealed that Kanika Kapoor is supposed to come to the police station and give her written statement. The officials will then take further action in this matter. Only yesterday, Kanika had taken to her Instagram and issued a clarification in regards to all the rumours that were floating around.

An excerpt from her long note read, “I stayed quiet not because I'm wrong, but in fact being fully aware that there have been misunderstandings and wrong exchanges of information. I was giving time for the truth to prevail and for people to reach their own realization.”
