Rohit Shetty's office is currently buzzing with a hot discussion. A meeting is underway as yo is underway as you read this at the filmmaker's Andheri West office with Reliance Entertainment- producer of not just Shetty's Sooryanvanshi starring Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh but also Kabir Khan's '83.
The reason for their meeting is to finalise the release date of both the films, amidst the Coronavirus scare. Sooryavanshi is slated to release on March 27 while 83 plans to hit theatres on April 10.
SpotboyE.com had, a few days back, brought to you that a few of the Bollywood filmmakers are contemplating to delay the release of their film. 83, Sooryavanshi and Coolie No 1 were among the few of them.
A couple of small meetings in this regard also took place over the weekend but this seems to be the final meeting to decide whether Reliance Entertainment and the respective teams of the films want to go ahead with the original release date.
"Everyone is extremely confused about it, actually. No unanimous decision has been achieved yet. The ratio is a 70:30, with 70 percent wanting the delay and remaining 30 against it," a source informs us.
We also hear that the trailer launch of 83, which is scheduled to take place on March 11, is being also considered to be pushed to a later date.
"The makers and producers don't want to take a chance with such big films as so much of money is riding on both of them. The Coronavirus scare will surely dampen the buzz," concluded the source. We texted Kabir Khan and Rohit Shetty to confirm the same, they remained unavailable for comment.
