Coronavirus Outbreak: Shah Rukh Khan's Khar Office Turns Into An ICU Facility For Critical Patients – Reports

With Coronavirus cases on the rise, many stars from the film industry stepped up and helped the needy by making huge contributions. Shah Rukh Khan made a huge contribution for the people affected by COVID, the superstar even opened his office for treating COVID-19 patients. On April 24, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan announced that they have lent their office, located in Khar Mumbai, to BMC and turned it into a quarantine centre. This move of the couple was appreciated by BMC where they posted a thank you note for them. Gauri Khan and Shah Rukh both had also reciprocated to this thank you note, by terming it their responsibility. However, the latest reports in Mumbai Mirror suggests that the BMC has further converted the superstar’s office into an ICU for critical patients.
 
As per the portal, the 15-bed facility will be operational from today, in association with Khan’s Meer Foundation, Hinduja Hospital in Khar and the BMC. It is reported that the work on upgrading the space into an ICU facility began on July 15 and isolated patients were shifted to another centre. The tabloid even carried a statement of Executive director of Hinduja Hospital (Khar), Dr Avinash Supe who was quoted saying, “It has been equipped with ventilators, oxygen lines, high flow nasal oxygen machines and liquid oxygen storage tanks for high-risk and critical patients. The service will be run by Hinduja Hospital under the guidance of the BMC."
 
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Aanand L. Rai's Zero, opposite Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Reportedly, he is in talks with Rajkumar Hirani, Ali Abbas Zafar for their untitled next.
