The country has been fighting a tough battle against the COVID-19 pandemic and the government has been taking preventive measures to curb down the rampant spread of the virus. After Janta Curfew on last Sunday, as the Prime Minister of India, announced a lockdown for 21 days and requested everyone to stay indoors. As B-Town celebrities are in self-quarantine, amid the lockdown announcement, Shahid Kapoor took to his social media to have a Q&A session with fans and revealed what his character of Kabir Singh from the 2019 film of the same title will be doing during the 21 days.
On Twitter, as soon as Shahid Kapoor informed fans about having a Q&A session on the micro-blogging site, fans poured out their questions on the star. One particular fan questioned Shahid about what would Kabir Singh do during a three-week lockdown. Replying to the fan’s question, Shahid’s answer was simple and to the point with even Kabir Singh not defying the preventive measures. Shahid re-tweeted, “Hug Preeti (the dog) and make do. Rules are rules bro," in response to the fan.
Shahid Kapoor’s epic response had a quirky take to his 2019 film Kabir Singh. As Shahid Kapoor played the role of Kabir Singh in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga film, a super-intelligent doctor with anger management issues, the role of his ladylove in the film was played by Kiara Advani whose character name was Preeti. But, in the film later, the name Preeti was also that of Kabir Singh’s pet dog and Shahid clearly put out the message that he would hug the dog Preeti and rules are rules during the lockdown.
