Since March, the work on all the TV shows, films and web-series has come to a halt. Due to the lockdown imposed by the Government to curb the spread of Coronavirus, all the production work has come to a standstill. Now, after almost two months, the Mumbai division of Federation of Western India Cine Employees has written a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray requesting him to allow the post-production work of the unfinished projected to begin.
Ashoke Pandit who is the Chief Advisor Of FWICE shared the letter on his Twitter account and in the caption he wrote, "@fwicemum appeals to Honourable CM @uddhavthackeray ji @OfficeofUT to permit the post production & recording studious with minimum people to function so that unfinished work of Producers can be completed & technicians can get back to work. We hope our request will be honoured."
In the letter, FWICE has mentioned the loss the media and entertainment industry is incurring due to the lockdown and has requested for the permission to let the post-production work of projects that are near to completion begin. They have mentioned projects whose work like editing, sound editing, music editing, etc.is pending. "Your permission to us to continue with the post production activities of such projects nearing to completion can give a little sigh of relief to these producers with an assurance of early release of projects ensuring some returns of the funds invested," read a part of the letter.
