Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan for the very first time are coming together for David Dhawan's Coolie No.1 whose trailer was released recently. Though the trailer of the film got some mixed response, there were some who loved the crackling chemistry between Varun and Sara in the film. However, speaking of their chemistry, the story of their first meet is something you should know as it is hilarious yet cute at the same time. Well, during the launch of Coolie No. 1 trailer, Varun recalled the hilarious incident when he met Sara Ali Khan for the first time when she was a kid.

He said he met Sara at a gym's lift. He saw a kid running out of the lift in a hurry but then she went back into the lift, talking on the phone. He was confused to see her talking as there was no reception in the lift and that time he got to know that lady was Sara. To add in the story, Sara mentioned that she was pretending to talk on the phone but actually she wanted to be in the lift with Varun as she is a huge fan of the actor. Later, she stated that she is now friends with Varun. During the same time, Sara even recalled the time when Varun's father and the director of the film, David Dhawan got upset with her over costumes.

She said, “We were filming Main Toh Raste Se when David sir got upset with me and shouted at me because, although I was ready for my shot, I was supposed to tag something on my costume and that was taking time.” She also added that David Dhawan was already upset with Varun Dhawan as he was doing some costume business which was delaying the shoot.
