Varun Dhawan has been currently shooting for his upcoming film with dad David Dhawan in Bangkok. Varun is co-starring along with Sara Ali Khan in the film and the posters that have recently released have created fan frenzy among the audiences. As the team of Coolie, No 1 is busy shooting the film, Varun Dhawan took to his social media to share a BTS video of him revealing his second character from the film.

Coolie No 1 is a remake of the 1995 film of the same name directed by David Dhawan himself. The film starred Govinda and Karishma Kapoor in lead roles and was a huge hit back then. Varun Dhawan who is shooting in Bangkok shared a BTS video from the sets of Coolie No 1. The actor posted a video of him on a boat, which captioned, “KUWAR MAHENDRA PRATAP. In the middle of the ocean nearly fell off 🌊 🏊‍♂️ #coolieno1.” In the video, Varun talks about how they are in the middle of the South China Sea and they are moving very fast in the boat. The actor talks about how he wanted to share his experience with his fans, as they shoot in the middle of the sea while he pulls off the stunt of trying to jump in the water. The actor reveals his look for the character of Kuwar Mahendra Pratap, who is studded with jewelry and looks quite rich.


Varun Dhawan has shared pictures from the sets of Coolie No 1 with father David Dhawan on his Instagram giving us glimpses of his look from his film.


 The Kalank actor, on the birthday of co-star Sara Ali Khan released the posters of the film in the funniest and quirky best wish for the actress.




The plot of 1995 Coolie No 1 revolves around matchmaker Shaadiram who gets spurned by a rich man and tries to teach him a lesson by getting Raju, a coolie, to pose as a millionaire and marry the man’s daughter. Coolie No 1 is scheduled to release on May 1, 2020, and is the first film that will bring Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan together on the big screen.
