Just a couple of days back, Lisa Haydon got married to her long time boyfriend Dino Lalvani in a hush hush ceremony in Goa. For all those who have come in late, Dino is the son of Pakistan-born British entrepreneur Gulu Lalvani. Taking a cue from this fact, leading news daily did a full feature on cross border marriages.

This morning after reading the article, Lisa lashed back at the daily for having referred to her in-laws as Pakistani. Read the series of tweets she posted on her Twitter account:
Dear @dna my husband is Indian. My father in law - Gulu Lalvani, was born in pre partition India and was thrown out of what is today...
— Lisa Haydon (@HaydonLisa) November 2, 2016
Called Pakistan - to call someone who has gone through the struggles of partition non Indian is absurd.

Sad this article are the good wishes you would give a girl on the day she begins a new&exciting chapter in her life.

The world needs lovers not haters❤️

Not just this, Lisa even went on to take a sarcastic dig at the current scenario in Bollywood where Pakistan origin actors have become a taboo for Indian filmmakers.
How nice to be on set today STILL working in "Bollywood" post marriage 🙀🙀

Lisa Haydon is also a part of Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. She has a small but worth-remembering role in the film. Lisa is playing Ranbir’s girlfriend in the film and her punch lines and sense of humour is being appreciated by many.
Karan Johar faced a lot of difficulties before the release of his latest Diwali offering Ae Dil Hai Mushkil for having Pakistani artistes like Fawad Khan and Imran Abbas Naqvi in the cast of the film. MNS Chief Raj Thackeray gave his nod for a peaceful release of Karan’s film just few days prior to the release date of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
And now, with Lisa Haydon stirring this new debate over the social media, we wonder how far this will go?
