The Mumbai Police is interrogating many bigwigs of Bollywood in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. From Sanjay Leela Bhansali to YRF's head Aditya Chopra, many have been summoned by the police to record their statements. The latest one to reach the police station is Mahesh Bhatt. The filmmaker was spotted at Santacruz Police Station where he was interrogated for almost three hours by the police. Slowly the details of his statement are coming to the fore.
As per a report in Republic World, Mahesh Bhatt denied stories suggesting that he asked Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty to move away from him. This is in contradiction to what Suhrita Das, an employee at Vishesh Films, had penned in her post dedicated to Sushant and Rhea. Coming out in support of Rhea, she had written, "Cant forget the evening in Sushant’s terrace when it almost felt like everything was normal in the world while deep within he was slipping away. Sir saw that, that’s why he shared the very words his Master UG told him warning him about Parveen Babi, “walk away or this will take you down under along with."
The report in Republic World also states that Mahesh Bhatt informed the Mumbai Police that he met Sushant Singh Rajput only on two occasions and that he did not support nepotism in Bollywood. Mahesh Bhatt reportedly stated that he is the one who believes in giving chances to newcomers.
After Mahesh Bhatt recorded his statement, Advocate Ishkaran Bhandari questioned why the filmmaker was given VIP treatment. (Also Read: Sushant Singh Rajput Death: Mahesh Bhatt Tells Mumbai Police Actor Was NEVER Offered Sadak 2; On The Contrary Sushant Wanted To Do Any Role In The Film - Report)
