Deepika Padukone’s highly-anticipated Chhapaak is all set to hit the big screens tomorrow i.e., on January 10, 2020. Well, the buzz around this social drama is extremely high and, ever since the first reviews came out last night, fans have been eagerly waiting to watch it. Some time ago we reported how the film has been declared tax-free in Madhya Pradesh. Now, adding onto your excitement, the Deepika Padukone starrer is reportedly tax-free in all the Congress-rules states across India like Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Puducherry.


The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel, took to his Twitter account and announced the decision of making Chhapaak tax-free. “In Chhattisgarh, the government has decided to make tax free in the Hindi film "Chhapaak" depicting heinous crime like acid attack on women in society and making our society aware. All of you also go to the family, become self-aware and make the society aware,” wrote the minister. He tweeted, “I declare tax free in Madhya Pradesh for the film "Chhapaak" on Deep Attack Padukone starrer Acid Attack Survivor which is releasing in theatres across the country on 10 January. The film is based on a positive story about women suffering from acid in society, as well as a story of confidence, struggle, hope, and determination to live with that pain and in such cases a change in the thinking of society. “
