In June this year, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor took everyone by surprise as they announced they are expecting their first child. The couple, since then, has been the center of attraction and is hogging all the limelight. Today morning, Alia and Ranbir were spotted arriving at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and speculations are rife that the actress will deliver her baby today itself. While there is much excitement amongst her fans, Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt shared his excitement ahead of her daughter’s delivery.   

Speaking to ETimes, the soon-to-be grandfather stated that he is waiting for a new sun to rise. Mahesh was quoted saying, “Waiting for a new sun to rise. A fresh sparkling dew drop of life.” As per reports, the 29-year-old actress has been admitted to HN Reliance hospital and is accompanied by her husband Ranbir, mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor, mother Soni Razdan, and sister Shaheen Bhatt. Earlier, RK had opened up about becoming a father and shared that he has been experiencing a range of emotions. The actor was quoted saying, “I am very very happy, excited and nervous also. I am terrified also. But I am very grateful. I am grateful to the point that I have never experienced that emotion in my life. I have experienced different emotions. But this is one emotion that completely fills your heart.”

Alia and Ranbir got married in April this year in a close-knit ceremony and announced their pregnancy nearly after two months.
