Bollywood lost a gem after music composer Wajid Khan of the Sajid-Wajid duo passed away on June 1, 2020. Almost over two months since the music composer's demise, fans continue to remember him in their memories. Throughout his career, Wajid Khan worked on some hits like Tere Mast Mast Do Nain, Love Me Love Me, Mashallah Mashallah and others, out of which Saamne Hai Savera was his favourite. Now, remembering late Wajid Khan during an interview, music composer Sajid Khan reveals how he still talks to him.
Speaking with Zoom Digital, Sajid Khan of the Sajid-Wajid duo mentioned that he still WhatsApp’s and calls his late brother. Talking about how he stills talks to his late brother, Sajid Khan said, “The place where I sit in my house there is a picture of him and me on the wall, so I go there and speak to him, I still WhatsApp Wajid. I sent this (Jeet Jayenge Hum) song to him on WhatsApp. I am still talking to him.” The music composer opened up about his and Wajid Khan’s song Jeet Jayenge Hum and mentioned how he sends the song to his late brother on WhatsApp.
Sajid Khan revealed that he wants to keep things around him like where he is talking to brother Wajid Khan on the phone. He continued to share that he sometimes calls and messages brother Wajid to share the release date of their song Jeet Jaayenge Hum. Sajid Khan also mentioned that he sent the song Jeet Jaayenge Hum first to late brother Wajid only. He then added, “I don't want to get in that zone. I want to be in that zone where even if he is not seen, he is there, we are talking. Maybe a different way of remembering him. Maybe soon, I will start calling people from Wajid's phone also."
The music composer went on to reveal how Wajid Khan’s memories used to haunt him earlier, but not anymore. He revealed that his memories made him cry, but shared that now he enjoys them, laughs and feels his brother just next to him. The composer added, “Sometimes I turn around, I start talking to him opposite an empty chair. I am enjoying everything. Meanwhile, during the interview, Sajid Khan also mentioned how everything in his life (music-related) is a tribute to his brother. The music composer also went on to share how he was scared at the time of Wajid Khan’s demise that the music in him might get over and revealed he used to cry as well. Later, Sajid Khan mentioned that in the crying, he used to start singing and then realised how it releases the tension inside him.
