After Shraddha Kapoor and Sonakshi
Sinha performed for the crowds, Alia Bhatt took to the stage. And even though
the actress has a few hit songs to her credit, this time she was there to
introduce, American pop star Demi Lovato.
This is Demi's first performance in
India and she got the crowds going in a golden ensemble and her hit
songs.

The event of the year began at
the MMRDA grounds with Bollywood stars Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra taking
to the stage to introduce the goals of Global Citizen, the international
charity which has bought Coldplay and rap megastar Jay-Z to India.
The concert started with a ballad
sung by composer trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy who were accompanied by the
multi-genre, Dadar-based choir `The Salvation Singers', conducted by Dylan
D'Souza.
The day-long party of sorts will also
include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is expected to send a message
through video conference.
Ranveer Singh might be the burst of
Bollywood the audience needs. Amitabh Bachchan will join the Shillong
Chamber Choir for a stellar symphony of poetry and patriotism. Over and above, Aamir
Khan, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor will perform in support of the "Shuruaat Hoon Main"
message.
