Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput has passed away, many conspiracy theories surrounding his death have made their way to the internet. With fans demanding justice for Sushant, a lot has been said and written. While Rhea Chakraborty is at the centre of all the allegations, there have been stray reports naming many others, without any proof or basis. However, the CM has now broken his silence over Sushant's death and distanced himself and son from the case.

Speaking at Shiv Sena's annual rally, the CM said, "Someone who committed suicide is now a Bihar son. He may be, but because of him, you maligned sons of Maharashtra. You even maligned my son Aaditya. So whatever you said, keep it to yourself. We are clean." He then even pointed out at Kangana Ranaut's tweet comparing Mumbai to PoK and stated, "Mumbai is PoK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir), there are drug addicts everywhere - they are painting such a picture."

He further added, "They don't know in our house we grow tulsi not ganja. Ganja fields are in your state, you know where, not in our Maharashtra." Uddhav Thackeray then spoke about Mumbai Police and expressed pride by saying, "I'm proud of my Mumbai Police. The police who caught a terrorist alive - the only police. I'm proud of the police."

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020. The actor was reportedly found hanging in his apartment in Bandra. Three central agencies - CBI, NCB and ED are investigating the case.
