Chunky Panday has been in the film industry for about 35 years now, and all through these years, he has seen a lot of highs and many lows in his professional journey. At one of his lowest points in the Hindi film industry during the late 1990s, he even attempted to make a switch to Bangladeshi cinema for a better future. But to say the least, his journey in films has been adventurous.
Now, Chunky’s elder daughter Ananya Panday is also an actress who debuted two years ago with Student Of The Year 2, opposite Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria, and his younger daughter Rysa also plans to become a filmmaker someday. So, what does he want his daughters to learn from his journey in showbiz? “The only thing is they should enjoy their journey - that’s all I want them to do,” he responds.
“Don’t make it full of stress and with too much calculations. Do your work honestly but enjoy what you do. Do not get into situations that you don’t enjoy, because then it will land up really bad,” he insists.
The actor goes on to say that he is proud of whatever he has done professionally, be it good or bad. “If I had to relive my life, I would embark on the same journey again. I won’t change my journey or the direction it took. You should be proud of whatever you have done. I may not have been the greatest in life and if I am standing in a line, there might be five people ahead of me, but there would be 10 people behind me as well. You cannot always be the best although you should strive to be, but there will always be someone better than you and you should accept that,” he concludes.
